About this Event
This first session will be to discuss your options for the base piece, the atarah (neck collar), the optional four corner embellishments, and all other possible embellishments.
Together we will pick dates for the remaining two necessary sessions to complete your masterpiece. This will include tying your own tzitzit.
A tallit can be made of any material other than blending wool and linen together. That means it can be hand knit or crocheted, a ready-made shawl/scarf that only needs embellishing, a cut of fabric, etc.
If you’d like to bring material ahead of time, do so. Make sure, if you choose fabric, that it is at least two yards in length and minimum 18 inches in width. You will also need pins, a measuring tape, scissors. If you have a portable sewing machine, please let us know. We will have samples to show to help give you ideas.
To RSVP, or for more information, please contact Elinor Silver: anie51@aol.com or
