"Shir Shalom Cares" - our Sunshine and Social Outreach Committees

Rhoda Bloom Kosher Food Pantry

Congregation Shir Shalom  collects peanut butter, boxes of tea bags and boxes of cereal for the Rhoda Bloom Kosher Food Pantry. Donations of other Kosher, unopened, non-perishable food are also appreciated.   Look for the food collection boxes at the Synagogue.  You are welcome and encouraged to make monetary donations, and specifically state it is for the Rhoda Bloom Kosher Food Bank. [Please make your checks payable to Congregation Shir Shalom.]  All monies received will be used to buy needed food for the pantry --- and you don’t have to go shopping.

We wish to thank everyone from our Congregation Shir Shalom Community who came together so quickly and generously to help with the collection of urgently needed supplies for newly arrived Afghan refugees at Fort Dix and McGuire AFB in New Jersey.

We are proud that even our CenterRock USY/Kadima youth group offered their support with this important and timely project which was coordinated by the Westchester Coalition for Immigration.
